The Arms of Britannia

I remember vividly 50 years ago my head teacher Mrs Bowles, a stout woman of vision, arranging for us to watch on television, the funeral of Sir Winston Churchill. I wrote about this emotional occasion in my book ‘The Arms of Britannia’

The book also covers many other historical incidents that happened during my teenage years in the 60s. Like most teenagers, some were funny others traumatic but they all had a great influence on my life.

Now at the age of 65 I find myself looking back and reflecting on the past. That’s why I’m so pleased to have written this book as my gift to young people to help them understand modern history and incidents that shaped their lives today.
